About Morgan

Meet Morgan:

Morgan is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC/LPC) and national certified counselor (NCC) with 8+ years of experience providing trauma therapy for children and caregivers impacted by physical, emotional, and sexual abuse; neglect; family separation and divorce; foster care and adoption; exposure to violence; experiences of bullying/harassment; and traumatic grief and loss.

Morgan received her master's of science (MS) degree in Community and Trauma Counseling from Philadelphia University in 2016, and she has worked in various community mental health, nonprofit, and group practice settings before opening Morgan Langworthy Therapy LLC in 2022.

Morgan is trained in evidence-based clinical interventions including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT & CBT), Mindfulness, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Morgan’s therapeutic approach is warm, playful, family-centered, and strengths-based. Morgan believes that a healthy attachment to a safe, supportive, and consistent caregiver can be the most important puzzle piece for a child’s healing process and future development - and so Morgan engages caregivers actively in therapy to help restore and enhance healthy communication, trust, and connection within family relationships

Morgan is committed to holding space for foster parents, adoptive parents, biological parents, grandparents, and all caregivers as they process their experiences of parenting, as well as their own trauma and attachment histories, to enhance wellness and responsiveness to their child's needs.

Morgan utilizes play therapy interventions with little ones and offers a safe and welcoming space where families can talk and play openly about big feelings, upsetting things that have happened, and to learn and practice other ways of thinking, doing, and being.

"The way we talk to our children becomes their inner voice" - Peggy O'Mara
